Room for Improvement?

While reading kisswebmaster.com, there were two things that really stuck out to me on how to make my blog better and more interactive!

  • Subscribe to other blogs that relate to mine or that are interesting. A good source is blogcatalog.com
  • Ask question at the end of my post, I have opinions and so do my readers! I want to know what you think!
I want people to feel like they can contribute to my blog, everyone has emotions and feelings so this is the place where they can be talked about! I think even by asking a rhetorical question that it will prompt people to think about the post or even respond.

I need to find a way to turn thoughts into thought provoking questions.

Step Toward Freedom

I follow a blog about sociology and read something that made me think...
In Peter Berger's new book, Adventures of an Accidental Sociologist: How to Explain the World Without Becoming a Bore,(which I haven't read, only saw a review for but now thinking about reading!) he says...

"...Sociology suggests that we are puppets of society, but unlike puppets we can look up and discover the strings to which we are attached, and this discovery is a first step toward freedom."

I find these words empowering in a way because we all feel pulled by different strings, whatever they are in in life. And this quote simply reminds all of us that we can take a step toward freedom from the things that seem to pull us away from what we want or the things that seem to tie us down.

Two things that really stuck out to me from technorati.com was that many bloggers say that when it comes to advertisements on their blogs they want the ads to line up with their own personal values.
I think this is a good thing for any blogger to consider once having ads becomes a reality. I don't want a popular blog to lose followers because of bad advertisements.

I don't want readers to think that I am endorsing something I don't. Even something as simple as an ad on the side of a page can effect what a reader things about me or what I stand for.

It's amazing how one questionable thing can effect so much of people's opinions, and yet, most of us do it!

Something else that stuck out to me was how all the different medias I use can work together and promote each other! I feel like I make some decent observations, and if not I have friends who do, and to be able to share them on my blog and let others know about it on my other social media sites is exciting! I am fortunate to have the friends I have and that they share so much of their wisdom with me!
Hi everyone this is my blog. It will be about emotions and observations! Can't wait!
